Stuart Vevers was the brand's creative director until J.W. Anderson was appointed the position. In September 2013, Irish-born fashion designer J.W. Anderson was made creative director of Loewe by Bernard Arnault, Chairman of LVMH.

2013 : May: In honor of the Year of Spain in Japan and the Year of Japan in Spain, Loewe and Junya Watanabe unveil a collaborative capsule collection-of pieces made in Spanish leather and Japanese denim-in Tokyo. June: WWD announces that Vevers will leave his post in order to helm the American leather-goods company Coach.
